Alan Welding is a multifaceted professional based in the Greater Pittsburgh area, known for his contributions to education, photography, and music journalism. In the realm of education, Alan served as a high school English teacher at Chartiers Valley School District for 30 years and is now retired. He holds a Master's Degree in Secondary English Education from Duquesne University and a B.A. in English Literature from the University of Pittsburgh. Beyond his teaching career, Alan is an accomplished freelance photographer and has been a correspondent for Today's Photographer Magazine and American Image Press. His photography portfolio includes corporate and actor shoots, as well as his passion, concert photography. Currently, Alan is the house photographer for PPG Paints Arena (OVG 360 Entertainment) and has done work for Live Nation and AEG Presents.
Alan's passion for music extends to journalism; he owned and operated Pittsburgh Music Magazine until after the pandemic when he went on to pursue other business ventures.
